Turntable (TT) – Ring & Cross Arm Design

Turntable (TT) – Ring & Cross Arm Design

The Innoveyance Ring & Cross Arm Turntable rotates loads in place on a conveyor — redirecting flow or reorienting product without a separate transfer. The ring-and-cross-arm design supports the load broadly for smooth, stable rotation of heavy pallets and bundles.

Rotate loads in place

When product needs to change direction or orientation, the turntable spins the on-board conveyor deck to the new angle, then discharges. The ring-and-cross-arm support structure carries the load across a wide base, keeping rotation smooth and stable even with heavy pallets.

Robust support for heavy product

The ring rail and cross-arm design distributes load and resists deflection better than a single center pivot under heavy weight, making it well suited to full pallets and dense bundles. Rotation angle and deck type are configured to the application.

Heavy-duty, US-built

Engineered for continuous duty and full load weights. Every system is engineered, built, and supported in the United States, so lead times, customization, and service stay close to your plant — not an ocean away.

The Turntable Conveyor (Ring & Cross-Arm design) rotates loads in place using photocell-actuated positioning controls that automatically position the load over the turntable. It is a modular, self-contained device that integrates as part of a Power Live Roller (PLR) conveyor for easy installation into a new or existing plant layout.

Features

  • Ring & Cross-Arm Design: A rotating ring and cross-arm assembly on an air-actuated lift provides 90-degree rotation without changing flow direction. Typically used in a strapper area; loads must be centered across the conveyor width.
  • Device Length: 10ʹ long minimum; can feature a cantilever with chain-assist rollers to ensure complete conveyance through a one-head strapping operation without dead rollers beneath the strapper.
  • Conveyor Drives: Dual-belt conveyor drives, 30 to 80 FPM.
  • Turntable Drive: Rotates the ring in continuous 90-degree increments; variable frequency drive for controlled acceleration and deceleration.
  • Preassembly: Unit is wired and (if applicable) plumbed to a junction box at the factory; OEM units can be prewired to the control panel.

FAQs

Q: What is a turntable conveyor used for?

A: A turntable conveyor rotates a load in place on its on-board deck to change flow direction or product orientation, then discharges it — useful where the line must turn or product must be reoriented without a separate transfer.

Q: What is the difference between ring & cross-arm and pivot-post turntables?

A: The ring & cross-arm design supports the load across a wide ring rail for stable rotation of heavy pallets and dense bundles. The pivot-post design rotates on a central post and suits lighter or space-constrained applications.

Q: Is the turntable made in the USA?

A: Yes. Innoveyance engineers, manufactures, and services its turntable conveyors in the United States.
