The Right Angle Transfer (RAT) conveyor changes flow direction and is also used for palletizing and transfer of product onto protective base sheets (requires optional sheet clamp). Optional overstroke ensures product is fully transferred onto a parallel conveyor. It is an integral part of a Non-Power (NP), Power Live (PLR), or Power Accumulating (PARC) roller conveyor. As an integral transfer component, the Pallet Roller Conveyor supports heavy-conveyance and end-of-line systems.
Transfer Head: 4ʺ high x 15ʺ long with 1/2ʺ steel side plates and structural-angle cross-bars, driven by two #60 chains on a common 1-1/2ʺ dia. shaft in precision pillow-block bearings. The head rides in a structural-steel guide with two idler bearings and one support wheel per side. Optional wiper strip for sheet transfer; optional 12ʺ and 48ʺ head extensions for more contact and stability.
Drive: 1 HP totally enclosed, industrial-rated 1750 RPM motor on an in-line reducer (grease-filled, maintenance-free for two years), located within and under the device. A rotary limit switch with #40 chain and sprocket sets adjustable forward and rear head positions.
Preassembly: Unit is wired and (when applicable) plumbed to a junction box at the factory; roller brake is mounted and plumbed (when applicable) at the factory.
