Roller Belt Transfer – Directional Active Roller Belt (DARB)

Directional Active Roller Belt Transfer (DARB)

The Innoveyance Directional Active Roller Belt (DARB) transfer uses angled, powered rollers embedded in a belt to steer product diagonally — diverting, aligning, and sorting at full line speed with no hard stops. As a multi directional conveyor, it is the high-speed answer for diverting and aligning product where pushers and right-angle stops are too slow.

Steer product without stopping the line

Active roller belt (ARB) technology drives small powered rollers at an angle to the belt, so product can be shifted sideways, aligned to an edge, or diverted to a branch line while still moving forward. That continuous motion sustains throughput that conventional transfers can’t match.

Divert, align, merge, and sort

Configure the DARB to single out, align, merge, or sort cartons and bundles by adjusting roller angle and zone logic. It is widely used for high-rate sortation, lane alignment ahead of stacking, and gentle diverts that protect product.

High-speed, US-engineered transfer

Durable belt-and-roller construction and proven controls handle continuous high-cycle duty. Every system is engineered, built, and supported in the United States, so lead times, customization, and service stay close to your plant — not an ocean away.

The Directional Active Roller Belt (DARB) transfer steers product without stopping the line. The belt carries two rollers mounted one atop the other to provide left or right diversion, with a 1:1 transfer rate to inline conveyor speed.

Innoveyance is the exclusive licensee of the Intralox Activated Roller Belt for the corrugated and folding carton market in North and South America. Units incorporate licensed, patented technology.

FAQs

Q: What is a DARB / active roller belt transfer?

A: A Directional Active Roller Belt (DARB) transfer embeds small powered rollers at an angle within a belt, steering product diagonally to divert, align, merge, or sort it at full line speed without hard stops.

Q: How is a DARB different from a pusher or right-angle transfer?

A: Pushers and right-angle transfers stop product to move it sideways, which limits rate. A DARB shifts product while it keeps moving forward, sustaining much higher throughput and handling product more gently.

Q: Is the DARB made in the USA?

A: Yes. Innoveyance engineers, manufactures, and services the DARB transfer in the United States.
