The Automatic Chain Transfer Device (ACT) is a reversing chain-transfer conveyor that uses 50# roller chains elevated between load-carrying rollers to transfer product off or onto the conveyor. It operates in both directions to service the right- or left-hand side of the conveyor.

Automatic Chain Transfer Device (ACT)
The Innoveyance Automatic Chain Transfer Device (ACT) moves pallets and heavy loads at a right angle between roller conveyor lines using pop-up powered chains. It is the rugged, positive-drive way to redirect heavy product 90° without a turntable or manual handling.
Right-angle transfer for heavy loads
Powered chains rise between the rollers of a CDLR or roller line, lift the load, and carry it perpendicular to a connecting line, then lower out of the way. Because the chains are positively driven, the ACT handles full pallets and heavy bundles that pushers and belts can’t move cleanly.
Compact, reliable redirection
The pop-up chain design transfers loads at 90° in a compact footprint, ideal for changing flow direction in tight layouts or merging and diverting pallet lines. Chain count and drive are sized to load weight.
Heavy-duty, US-built
Rugged chains, frames, and drives stand up to continuous pallet handling. Every system is engineered, built, and supported in the United States, so lead times, customization, and service stay close to your plant — not an ocean away.

Features
- Chain Bars: Cold-rolled, oil-impregnated steel support bar with 3/16ʺ captive side plates and 2-3/4ʺ dia. idler sprockets on each end; all bars have individual vertical adjustment.
- Sideframe: 5ʺ x 6.7# structural channel with 1/4ʺ x 2-1/2ʺ drop-in roller support bar, standard 3ʺ roller spacing. Optional structural-angle sideframes reduce the gap between the transfer conveyor and the chain bar.
- Drive & Idler Shafts: Two 1-1/4ʺ dia. shafts run the full length in precision pillow-block bearings; both have adjustment screws for individual tensioning of the chain bars.
- Lift Assembly: Four 6ʺ dia. air mounts (8ʹ units use eight); 3/8ʺ factory-installed poly-flo plumbing.
- Drive: 1 HP totally enclosed, industrial-rated 1750 RPM gear-motor with reversing capability, located within and under the device.
- Speed: 45, 60 FPM available.
Specifications
- Lengths / Chain Bars: 5ʹ = 5 bars; 6ʹ = 6 bars; 7ʹ = 7 bars; 8ʹ = 8 bars.

FAQs
Q: What is an automatic chain transfer device (ACT)?
A: An ACT uses pop-up powered chains that rise between the rollers of a conveyor line to lift a pallet or load and move it at a right angle to a connecting line, then lower out of the way — a positive-drive way to redirect heavy product 90°.
Q: When use a chain transfer instead of a turntable or pusher?
A: Use an ACT to redirect heavy pallets 90° in a compact, in-line footprint with positive drive. Turntables rotate loads in place; pushers suit lighter product. The ACT excels at heavy right-angle pallet transfer.
Q: Is the ACT made in the USA?
A: Yes. Innoveyance engineers, manufactures, and services the Automatic Chain Transfer Device in the United States.
